Soil Burn Severity (Optional)

Upload a raster SBS map (.img or .tif). The map can be a thematic SBS map or a 256 dNBR map. Preferably in UTM. Maps with color tables will use colors to assign severities.

Soil Options

Hillslopes with burn severity landuses will have soils altered to model burn severity.

Advanced Options
Use internal hydraulic conductivity adjustments (ksflag)

Should be off 7778. Does not affect 9001 and 9002 soils. (Experimental use for Agriculture Only.)

Specify un/disturbed soil version (sol_ver)
9002.0 soils fix wepp model surface runoff and sediment yield predictions for areas with high burn severity.

For more information on the advanced processing options see the documentation
Hourly Seepage

Computes hourly instead of daily seepage calculations. Only applies to projects with 7778 soils (Not WEPP-PEP).

PMET

Computes evaporation and transpiration (ET) based on Penman-Monteith’s equation. The default is Penman’s equation.

For guidance on the parameters please see:
https://www.fao.org/3/x0490e/x0490e00.htm

Frost

Adjustment of effective hydraulic and thermal conductivity for snow, frozen-residue, and frozen-soil.

Run Frost (frost.txt)

Snow

Adjustments for snow.

Clip Hillslopes

WEPP can overpredict erosion with long hillslopes. Clipping will restrict the length and maintain area by increasing the width of the hillslope.

Wildfire Ash Transport And Risk (WATAR)

The ash transport analysis is available for continuous climates (no single storm). A climate with at least 100 years is recommended. The ash transport relies on WEPP outputs. Run WEPP before running this analysis.
