BARC data is obtained from the Remote Sensing Application Center (RSAC). BARC data is based on satellite imagery from Landsat data from before and after the fire, and this data is then classified into 4 severity classes (High, Moderate, Low, Unchanged). Typically these thresholds are then modified by the BAER team based on field observations.
